The main themes of my work are people as well as the environment and nature, which I like to reproduce in black and white photographs. Light is vital for me and the release of a camera is like the air we breathe.
After a technical degree I deepen my interest in photography and work as an assistant with international fashion photographers in the studio of Elle magazine in Paris. Attending a photography class at the Summer Academy in Salzburg along with Verena von Gagern and Michael Mauracher enables me to develop a spiritual connection to the unknown language of photography.
In 1992 I show my first solo exhibition Passerwasser, followed by the books Transumanza and Des Weges and other projects such as à Paris, Through the mild and wild Kurdistan, Farbenfrieden, All that jazz and De zona rubra. I participate in group exhibitions and photography festivals, such as the International Photography Gathering in Aleppo, the Total Arts gallery in Dubai, the Circuito OFF Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia, the Bolzano Art Weeks and the Biennale di Genova.
